Captain Hitsugaya Cosplay

And here we have, my newest cosplay! And currently, my favorite. I absolutely LOVE how it came out.

This shot was taken Saturday night at Otakon 2009. The premier of this costume. Total hours to complete... still calculating... It took a while. The haori alone took a couple days. Day before I left for Otakon I worked on it, finished it the morning I left for Otakon. Translation, I didn't sleep. >.< But it was well worth it cause the haori is BEAUTIFUL. Few things need redone on it though. I used iron on transfer paper for the designs cause they were fast and easy. Unfortunately, the didn't seem to like the satin, and are peeling like crazy. :-/ Already have a plan for fixing them though.

Other then like, like I said, LOVE how it turned out. The only pain was the shoes. Literally. Spend enough hours in reed sandals and your feet will be crying. Need to make some adjustments to them to hopefully fix that. The rest of the costume however was comfortable. Especially the hakama. Love those things.

Cannot wait to wear this costume again. Sugoicon 2009!
